yesterday my dad took me out to the construction site of a business park he is developing. it was really interesting learning about the different parts of the structure in the field and not in a classroom.
see what i mean when i said that hard hats are not fashionable!
i took advantage of this gorgeous weather to go take some photos. i fell in love with the little plant in the picture below. it totally looks like a dragon. rawr!
A few weeks ago I decided that I needed to take advantage of the park less than a block away from my apartment. It was absolutely necessary that I photograph the gorgeous colors, that have unfortunately already fallen to the ground. Coincidentally, one of my best friends happened to be walking her roommate's dog in the very same park, so I had the opportunity to enjoy her lovely company.
harper smith is hands down one of my favorite photographers. her photos are magical. they make me want to dress up in layers of lace and silk and light candles and dance around performing sorcery.
i needed to keep my hands busy, so I decided to try a DIY! I picked up some cheap black pumps from khols and a million rhinestones from michaels. then i got to work. Below is one of the finished shoes. i am currently working on the other. They aren't going to match because they ran out of the first kind of rhinestones, but it still is going to look wonderful, i think.
i am a terrible blogger. it's been months since i've posted anything whatsoever. i've decided to begin again, so here i am posting a few of my most recent photos, while sitting on my couch watching the first season of Sex and the City. i felt the need to add that last detail because Sex and the City is just so goddamn glorious.
