loving anything western right now. from cowgirl boots to hats and beaded bracelets, i can't get enough of it. i am even planning on being a cowgirl for halloween.. i know, i have quite a few months before then. i just can't help it. i mean, it is the only time when i can go ALL out cowgirl, right?

this jean shirt is probably one of the best items that i have bought all year. i have to try very hard not to overwear it, as it goes with pretty much anything. the only clothing i have a difficult time pairing it with is jeans. i know that jeans on jeans is "in" right now, but for some reason it just doesn't feel right. i guess not ever style/fad is for everyone so it doesn't really matter anyways.

i watched this for the first time yesterday and absolutely fell it love. it was so funny, quirky and cute that i was laughing/giggling the entire time. brittany murphy was such an excellent actress.

artscape 2010

today i trekked into the city to explore artscape. there were so many different sorts of jewelry, photos, paintings, and clothing to look at. it's really incredible how creative and talented some people when it comes to the visual arts. even though it is an arts festival, there were some tents that had possibly the best non-artsy free samples ever. my favorite of these tents was the kashi tent. they were giving out miniature bowls of cereal! it was great. the only downside to the day was that it was majorly H-O-T outside. as a result of this, i was immensely pleased with my choice of loose crop top as i probably wouldn't have survived without it.

random thoughts for wednesday

i started reading this yesterday and literally couldn't put it down. i stayed up to some ridiculous hour last night reading it and finished it today when i finally had the chance. it was the perfect light summer read and was highly entertaining. my friend jenny let me borrow it and i'm so glad she did! the only thing about it i regret is reading it so quickly- whoops!

i absolutely love love love chanel's fall '10 couture. the detail and patterns and colors are so gorgeous and rich. i can't stop looking at the photos. these two dresses outfits were my favorite. the deep navy blue paired with golds and cardinal reds is just stunning.

these rompers are so chic! i feel like a lot of rompers look like pajamas or are very unflattering, but these two definitely don't! i'm still in the search for the perfect one. it's out there, i know it!

here is what i wore today. yes, it was not the most exciting outfit i have ever worn, but it was quite the perfect outfit for going on a shopping trip and attending a dinner party. my favorite part of the outfit was my necklace (detail seen below). i got this necklace in new mexico when i was a wee little 9 year old. just yesterday i was inspired to start wearing it again. unfortunately, thanks to its age, its a tad bit worse for wear and over the years lost an arm. it may be verging on creepy without an arm, but it certainly is fun to wear.
